FLAX - Glaucoma: Flax seems to help lower eye pressure when added to the diet however, we cannot recommend stopping the use of glaucoma medicine. Although we do believe that with mild glaucoma you may be able to, let your eye doctor monitor your pressue. If your pressure starts to come down, they will start lowering your medication. Generally speaking, flax is omega-rich, anti-inflamatory and helpful with arthritis. [Observed in several patients.]
HYALURONIC ACID - good for the retina, cornea, vitreous fluid and drainage and should be used whenever there is a retina problem. Generally good for the whole eye. MACULAR DEGENERATION - Use a TENS unit - 200 microamps @ 10 Hz. One damp lead is held in your hand and the other damp lead is held over your closed eye. MAGNESIUM - Near Sightedness: Magnesium is essential to the health of all the muscles including the 6 external eye muscles. Many near-sighted people have noted the most improvment. Suggested Use: varies as per weight but virtually all people are magnesium deficient. 200-800mg. Note: if taking calcium, you want your mg of magnesium to be 'greater' than the amount of calcium by 200-800mg. Cut back if any loose stools.

MSM EYE DROPS - General Tonic/Glaucoma: Excellent as an eye refresher and can help lower eye pressure. May also lower dose of glaucoma eye medicine needed. Always let your eye doctor monitor your pressue. If your pressure starts to come down, they will start lowering your medication.
N-ACETYL CARNOSINE - When used as eye drops, we have found it to be very effective in combating cataracts. It sells under the name Brite Eyes 3.

TAURINE - Retinal Health: Taurine is important to maintain the health of the retina. Mercury binds it up creating a shortage thus any retina problems need taurine supplementation. 500mg at least 1-2 times a week. Cut back if excessive urination occurs however, this should not occur at this low dose.
VITAMIN C - Cataract/Glaucoma: Vitamin C is essential for a healthy lens which contains the highest concentration of C in the body. Humans are the only mammals that do not make vitamin C. Suggested Use: 2000-3000mg a day (or more as instructed by a health care provider). According to Dr. V. Saxion, Glaucoma can be caused by Vitamin C deficiency and can be helped by taking at least 2000mg a day. Consider 1000mg with each meal.
